Protochem Flaw Check cleaner is a fast drying solvent cleaner, degreaser and excess penetrant remover for the nondestructive testing of metal surfaces by liquid penetrant inspection. Many cracks in engineering materials cannot be detected by normal visual inspection. Such cracks are detected using a set of three products viz. Protochem Flaw Check Cleaner, Protochem Flaw Check Dye Penetrant & Protochem Flaw Check Cleaner. Protochem Flaw Check Cleaner is powerful cleaner degreaser to remove dirt, grime, and contaminants. It is designed for the pre-treatment of the surface, prior to liquid penetrant inspection and to remove all visible, colored traces of the penetrant.

Do not apply to energized equipments. Clean the surface to be treated with Flaw Check Cleaner. Shake well & spray Flaw Check Dye Penetrant to get a light even coat on the test surface. Allow to remain on the test surface for 10 to 20 minutes. Remove Flaw Check Dye Penetrant on the surface by wiping with a cloth moistened by Flaw Check Cleaner. Shake well & spray Flaw Check Developer on the test surface. Allow it to develop for 5 to 15 minutes. Inspect the surface for contrast for possible defects
